PilatusBox User Help

Network login

Instead of typing a username and password each time you want to access PilatusBox, you can access PilatusBox using single sign-on (SSO). SSO uses the authentication credentials from your computer to log in to PilatusBox for you. For PilatusBox, this single sign-on process is called network login.

To access PilatusBox using network login, click the Use Network Login link on the User Portal login page.

Note

Your organization may have disabled the Use Network Login link on the User Portal login page.

For network login to work:

  • You need to be using a computer provided by your organization and logged into the computer with your Active Directory user account. Typically, this is the account credentials you use to log in to computers and applications that belong to your organization.
  • Your web browser needs to be configured for network login.
  • If you're at home or traveling, you need to use VPN to access your organization's network for network login to work.

Note

When you successfully log in to PilatusBox using network login, an authentication ticket is stored on your computer. Until this ticket expires, network login will work even if you are no longer connected to your organization's network.

For example, you could bring your laptop home from work and, if the ticket is still valid, connect to the User Portal using network login without being connected to your organization's network through VPN.
