Upgrading the desktop application

When a new version of the PilatusBox desktop application is available, the application displays an Update Available status on the application icon. Depending on your PilatusBox system, the application may automatically update or you may have to update the application manually.

Important

Do not uninstall the current desktop application and then reinstall an older version of the desktop application. This can cause you to have to reregister the application or prevent the application from functioning properly.

Procedure

If the desktop application is not running, start the application.
Click the application icon () in the menu bar.
In the menu, click Dashboard.
Click Settings.
The Settings section of the dashboard appears.
Click the New Update Ready tab at the top of the dashboard.
The New Update Ready section of the desktop application dashboard appears.
Click Install Update.
The PilatusBox Setup Wizard opens.
In the PilatusBox setup wizard, click Continue.
On the Installation Type page of the wizard, click Install.
If the wizard prompts you, enter the administrator credentials to install PilatusBox.
The wizard installs PilatusBox in the Applications folder.
In the wizard, click Close.
